Welcome to my scratch site. This is an area where I can try things out and if they do not work it does not matter. Nothing on this site is permanent - it is all suject to whim !

For those of a curious disposition - it is hosted as a static website from Amazon Web Services S3, using AWS Route53 for DNS. It has been set-up based on the system shown but with an updated version of hugo. It is built from an AWS Lambda funcion that runs hugo to rebuild the site whenever anything changes in the sites S3 input bucket.

However hard I tried I could not get the lamda hugo zip mentioned to work with AWS. It mostly worked but refused to copy the static content from static/* The website mostly worked but with missing style sheets and all static content. After much fiddling I have “Hacked” the RunHugo.js file to work.

I am not proud of the hack but I have repackages the zip file with the hacked file and version25.1 of Hugo . ( If anyone uses this I suggest you check your site can build with that version ) I had to update my theme for the hyde repo . The new zip file for the lamda function is here
